
Open Position: Foreman
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee and execute electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality performance. Reporting directly to the Group Manager or designated Project Manager, this position plays a critical leadership role in coordinating manpower, materials, subcontractors, and safety compliance on job sites.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, proven field experience, and a proactive approach to project management and team collaboration. A City of Harrisburg Master Electrician License (or eligibility within 120 days) and five years of experience are required.
Project Coordination & Execution
Collaborate with the Project Manager to review job scope, monitor progress, calculate cost-to-complete, and implement strategies to meet budget and contractual goals. Coordinate with the Prefab Foreman for prefabrication opportunities to improve efficiency.
Jobsite Oversight
Manage daily operations including manpower allocation, scheduling, equipment usage, and subcontractor coordination. Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Procurement & Cost Tracking
Issue purchase orders with proper phase codes, track material and field purchase costs, and report potential overruns to the Project Manager.
Compliance & Safety
Enforce company best practices and OSHA safety standards. Promote safe work habits, proper PPE usage, safe equipment operation, and clean, organized job sites.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate daily reports and required documentation. Initiate change orders and secure written customer approval before proceeding with additional work.
Team Leadership & Communication
Foster teamwork, implement company directives, and maintain clear communication with team members, customers, and management. Support training and development of crew members.
Customer Relations
Represent the company professionally on job sites, maintain positive client interactions, and promote the organization’s reputation in the marketplace.
Additional Duties
Assist with hands-on tasks as needed, including preparation and wire pulls, and fulfill other duties as assigned. Reliable transportation to various job sites is required.
Licensing & Experience

Must hold or obtain a City of Harrisburg Master Electrician License within 120 days of hire.

Minimum of five (5) years of electrical experience required.
Education & Certifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Must possess a valid and current Pennsylvania driver's license.

Must pass random drug screening.

Must have a clean criminal background check (Act 34) and Child Abuse Clearance.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow.

Must be able to use construction site facilities.

Combined weight of employee and personal tools must not exceed ladder weight limits (Class 1: 250lbs, Class 1A: 300lbs).

Ability to work overtime or night shifts as required.

Minimum 95% attendance required.
